THE REV. KENDALL HAYNES

Solar Design Consultant and Non-Profit Coordinator

In April 2023, I began work as a Solar Design Consultant and, now, Non-Profit Coordinator at Solterra Solar located in the SODO neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.  This transition happened for two reasons: 1. The parish I had served for 11 years could no longer afford a full-time priest; and 2. As a priest, I wanted to explore more practical responses to the Climate Crisis (in addition to preaching and teaching).  When it was clear our family wanted to stay in Washington for the immediate future, I decided to look for the most reputable company I could find in the field of renewable energy that aligned with my values as a person and would provide no conflict with my vocation as an Episcopal Priest.  Solterra in the end was a miracle find.  As the only solely woman-owned solar company in the state, I found a place that fully values its employees and clients while providing an excellent product that is both sustainable and relevant.  Having owned my own contracting business for 8 years prior to going to seminary, I have felt right at home and am enjoying the experience fully.

If you are interested in a Solar Consultation for your congregation, home or business, feel free to contact me directly at 253-224-7554, or visit Solterra's "Request a Quote" page using the promo code 383.
