THE REV. KENDALL HAYNES

Episcopal Priest

Although I have been an Episcopalian all my life, my vocation as an Episcopal Priest began in college when I first felt the call to the priesthood during my sophomore year.  It was then that I began attending St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Salem, Oregon where I explored the call further and ultimately was sponsored for seminary and ordination in 2005.  Since then, I have served parishes in both Illinois and Washington in a variety of capacities with my current tenure as Rector of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in the beautiful Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle (2025-present).  Additionally, on a part-time basis during my personal time, I also provide practical solutions for congregations and some individuals to mitigate Climate Change as a Solar Design Consultant and Non-Profit Coordinator at Solterra Solar in Seattle.

Land use acknowledgement:
Living in Tacoma, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I am ON THE TRADITIONAL HOMELANDS OF THE PUYALLUP TRIBE. THE PUYALLUP PEOPLE HAVE LIVED ON AND STEWARDED THESE LANDS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME, AND CONTINUE TO DO SO TODAY. I RECOGNIZE THAT THIS LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT IS ONE SMALL STEP TOWARD TRUE ALLYSHIP AND I COMMIT TO UPLIFTING THE VOICES, EXPERIENCES, AND HISTORIES OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF THIS LAND AND BEYOND.
